THE EDIT: 05/14
A bite-size run-down of the best stuff of the week.
1. Hamilton Leithauser does Pitchfork's Over/Under With His Kids
This is adorable. Sorry that I like seeing musicians be dads.
2. End Credit Songs From I Don't Feel At Home In This World Anymore
So I was at my friend Sadie's house, and her mother was watching a movie in the living room. As we left the house to do some activity that I have since forgotten (knowing us, probably coffee or Yogurtland), the closing credits were playing. My ears immediately perked up and I desperately asked Sadie what the name of the movie was. Thank God she's a genius, and knew it was I Don't Feel At Home In This World Anymore. I can tell you absolutely nothing about the plot, but I'm guessing it has a pretty bangin' soundtrack. Here are the two gems they used in their Oscar-worthy end credits.
3. Songs Playing From Another Room
Stumbled upon this Tumblr whose sole purpose is to post songs that are muffled and muted to sound as if they are coming to you through walls, AKA "from another room." Some people may think it sounds like they're about to be murdered in the alley behind a sketchy bar, but to me it oscillates between hypnotically comforting, and making me feel like I snuck away from a party for a romantic rendezvous with a honey that's been making eyes at me all night.
Some of my favorites:
4. Ben and Jerry's Release Bob Marley Ice Cream Flavor
Yes yes, y'all you heard right. Ben & Jerry's is releasing a Bob Marley flavor and part of the proceeds go to Jamaica-based charities.
It's banana ice cream (yum), with caramel (obsessed), graham cracker swirls (questionable), and fudge peace sings (sign me the hell up). It's limited batch though, so GET EET WHILE YA CAN, MAHN! Is that offensive? Sorry. One love.

5. Master Of None: Season Two Music
MASTER OF NONE SEASON TWO IS HERE and I'm planning on spending some quality time on my pancake ass, binge-watching my...pancake ass off. You should be doing the same, as Aziz Ansari is on his way to becoming the cultural bellwether we all need. If you watch, and even if you don't, it's a generally agreed upon conclusion that the music in Season One was LIT. Luckily, there's already a playlist of all the songs featured in Season Two. You're welcome.
6. Harry Styles by (duh) Harry Styles
I never thought I would be saying this, but a former One Directioner has made one of my favorite albums of the year. Styles always seemed like the most-likely to succeed post-1D, and his pink bathtub debut confirms it. Influenced by a love of Fleetwood Mac and other 70's, soft-rock stalwarts, Styles masterfully navigates 10 tracks (a perfect length) that show off his unique point of view, as well as his significant musical abilities. The only tracks I could do without are his attempts at rocking things up--"Only Angel" and "Kiwi"--which don't seem to come as naturally to him as the gentler, acoustic numbers "Sweet Creature" and "From the Dining Table." If you scoff at the very idea that this could be something you like, give "Woman" a try. The funky, sexy groove will worm it's way in and never leave. Don't believe me? See what the establishment has to say.
