TMTG's Guide To Echo Park Rising 2017

echo-park-rising-2017.jpg

Love it or hate it, Echo Park has become a cultural center of Los Angeles—home to artists, creatives...and cheaper rent than Silver Lake.

For the next four days (Aug. 17-20), it will also be home to Echo Park Rising, an all-free, all-ages music festival that infiltrates neighborhood clubs and bars from the afternoon until the wee hours of the night.

Arguably the city's best music fest—and inarguably the cheapest (Did I already say FREE, y'all!?), it's Shangri-la for music-lovers and the perfect way for Angelenos to kill a few free hours. With a massive range of acts, you're bound to find something you like—or at least something that's tolerable as background noise when you're pounding back discounted cocktails at Little Joy.

That being said, if one look at the extensive lineup is enough to make you spit out your $9 iced coffee all over Sunset, I think this will help: TMTG's Guide to Echo Park Rising 2017. Aka—the bands I would most definitely go see if I could actually go out to Echo Park in the middle of the day on a Thursday.

Happy Rising!
