Meet 'Superet' : Coming For LA One TV at a Time
In a sprawling, carnivorous, art marauding town like LA, it's easy for bands—even good ones—to get lost in the sea of guitar pedals, exploitative YSL ads, and influencer-generated hype that's currently lapping up on the shore of every hipster-cave venue in the area. We're awash in good music—a borderline-golden era for the region when brandishing a guitar has regained some of its former moxie—but it somehow all sounds the same.
Enter Superet, the LA band comprised of longtime friends who are currently coming down off a tour with DREAMCAR and gearing up to unleash their first LP. They just released their debut single, "Pay It Later,"—an explosive, slightly sinister behemoth full of angular guitars and frontman Matt Blitzer's unhinged vocals that cuts right through all the shoe-gaze/garage/surf mire.
And the chorus is definitely going to get stuck in your head. Promise.
